Access to Artists Project

With the help of the Jeffersonville Band Boosters and the generous support of the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) Jeffersonville Band students will once again have the opportunity to work with local professional musicians while pursuing music studies at Jeffersonville High School. We are most excited to announce that the program will now be expanding to provide weekly mentorship for all of our JHS Band musicians through partnerships with local artists. This is a tremendous opportunity for our students and the community of Jeffersonville.

• All JHS Band members will receive weekly small group or private instruction provided by experienced professional musicians and music educators in our community.

• This instruction will provide much needed attention to advanced technical skills and musical concepts from a professional musician skilled in the performance of the given instrument.

• The goal of this program is to insure that every student has access to an artist which specializes on their instrument, expanding the capabilities of the students and enhancing the artistry of the student ensembles.
